Some of the best writing tips I have heard have come from published and unpublished authors. The absolutely best one, that pops up from both sides with such frequency you could almost mistake it for a mantra, is this:
Just write.
No matter how bad it is, it is still written and now leaps and bounds beyond the accomplishments of the people that say, “I’ve always wanted to write a book/short story/poem/novella”
